French Open Lyon

This weekend a competition took place for the first time in France, Lyon.

Belgium was represented at this competition by Elien En Greet Bervoets  ( The Rolling Stars ), Lise Verstreken  ( Adult wheelchair dance group Keerbergse Amigo's ) en Sofie cox ( Dansprovant ).

For this first competition there were competitions in combi ballroom, combi Latin and solo conventional.

The competition could count on a nice international field with participants from Belgium, Slovenia, France, Italy and Malta.

Our Belgian dancers did very well at this competition and they are proud to bring the following results to Belgium:

- Lise: semi-final solo conventional

- Elien: 4th place solo conventional

- Sofie: 3rd place solo conventional

- Elien and Greet: 1st place combination ballroom + 1st place combination Latin

Hopefully there will be a sequel and we will be able to dance in France often, because it was a very successful competition!
